POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT (PBS)
OUR SERVICES
POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT WITH INTEGRITY 4 LIFE
Our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) service is designed to enhance the quality of life for NDIS participants by building on their unique strengths and creating supportive environments that encourage positive interactions and self-expression.
In collaboration with your support team, we develop a tailored plan that reflects a deep understanding of your aspirations and goals. By identifying and addressing factors that may lead to challenging situations, we work in conjunction with Allied Health Service Provider, The Gray Area, to create strategies that foster resilience and promote growth, reducing the likelihood of such situations arising.
OUR PARTICIPANTS
PBS FOR ALL AGES AND STAGES!
We pride ourselves on being adaptive to the unique needs of our community, regardless of what stage they are in life.
OUR FOCUS
Our plans focus on eliminating the triggers, incentives, and rewards associated with challenging behaviour.
Additionally, the plan provides guidance when adopting alternative and more suitable behaviours to replace the challenging ones. We focus on:
The Big Picture
Understanding your current routines, cherished values, social networks, and inherent strengths.
Roadblocks
Recognising current behaviours that may pose challenges within your day-to-day life.
Moving Forward
Recognising the unique needs of each individual, and utilising a strength-based approach to work with their behavioural presentations to modify their behavioural presentations.
The Goal
Encouraging positive behaviours and competencies essential for achieving your meaningful objectives.
OUR PROCESS
How do you apply for this service?
Initial Conversation
If you are interested in our Positive Behaviour Support service, feel free to enquire via our website or call 0427 628 214.
Collaboration
We work closely with a team of registered behavioural support practitioners and use an all round collaborative approach to ensure our participants goals and desired outcomes are met.
Implementation & Review
We offer training and coaching for you, your main support network, and your family. We continuously listen to your feedback, review your information, and adjust the Behaviour Plan accordingly. If you have 35 or more NDIS hours, we provide a Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plan.
Behaviour Plan Development
We assess your strengths, risks, and goals while checking for any restrictive practices. If any are identified, we draft an Interim Behavior Support Plan and collaborate with you and your team for feedback. Once you’re satisfied, we submit the plan to the NDIS Commission if it includes restrictive practices.
Outcome & Recommendation Report
At the end of each service, we give you a recommendation letter to assist you in securing the appropriate level of ongoing support from the NDIS. The NDIA requires evidence demonstrating the reasonableness and necessity of your support needs, and we specialise in gathering, analysing, and presenting this evidence. Your behaviour support and lifestyle objectives are well-defined. Working together, we create a plan and develop the necessary skills to achieve these objectives. Your advancement toward these goals is tracked and documented in a persuasive report submitted to the NDIA.
