Disability Support Worker

I4L takes an individualised approach to working with participants to ensure that they are achieving their goals and living a meaningful life. At I4L, we strive to create individualised programs which provide our participants with opportunities that are fun while also encouraging them to be independent and build on their skills. As well as service delivery, I4L has a commitment to support participants with information, linkages and referrals.

We are a looking for:

We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated. You would be sincerely passionate about social inclusion and supporting people to live the life that they choose. Ideally, you are the kind of person who:

  • Is willing to support participants in all aspects of their support needs

  • Is able to build rapport with participants and their families and is an excellent communicator

  • Available to work shift work

  • Be able to remain calm in challenging situations and be able to actively problem solve on a day-to-day basis

  • Understands the importance of maintaining professional boundaries, confidentiality, privacy, and duty of care to participant circumstances and organisational matters, at all times.

We need you to have:

  • NSW Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)

  • National Criminal History Check (or willing to obtain)

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)

  • First Aid Certificate

  • Australian Driver’s License and comprehensively insured car

It is also great if you have:

  • Previous experience working with participants exhibiting concern behaviours

  • Previous experience implementing allied health care plans and behaviour support plans

  • Previous experience in personal care.
